How can I register for and create an account?
You may click under “Create New User” in the login box and then proceed to
register for an account.
Is there a separate account for buyers and
sellers?
Yes there is. There are 3 types of User Accounts. Level 1 User Account is needed
to post Content on the Site. Level 2 User Account is needed in order to buy an
Item on the Site. Level 3 User Account is needed in order to list an Item for
sale on the Site.
Can I register for more than one account?
No. Only 1 account per person please.
BUYING AN ITEM
I don’t have Paypal. Can I pay for an item using
forms of payment other than Paypal?
Yes besides using Paypal, you can use any of the 4 major credit cards to
purchase an Item online.
MY DASHBOARD
Where can I manage my listings?
Click on “Dashboard” and then click on “My Items Store”. You may delete,
save, update the quantity or edit your items.
Where can I see the items that I have sold or
have purchased?
Click on “Dashboard” and then click on “My Sales” to see the items that
you have sold. You can also click on “My Purchases” to see the items that you
have purchased.
FEEDBACK
How can I check the feedback of a seller?
The "Feedback Rating" is the feedback that you receive for selling on Prepbooks.com,
particularly for the categories such as Books, Textbooks and Prepbooks. This Feedback is scored on a 60-100 scale.
Can a buyer receive a feedback?
No, only sellers receive feedback from buyers, so please remember to leave a
feedback to your seller after you have completed your transaction.
FEES
Do you charge any fees to register as a user?
Prepbooks does not charge fees to register as a user.
Do you charge any fees to list an item for sale?
Prepbooks does not charge any fees to list any item for sale.
Do you charge any fees to subscribe or add my
wish item to the wish list?
Prepbooks does not charge any fees to add your items to the wish list.
Do you charge any fees to sell an item?
Prepbooks charges a 15% fee of the item value that is sold on the Site.
This means that you pay a fee only if your item is sold.
MY ACCOUNT
Where can I edit my information?
Click on “Dashboard”. You can edit your information under “Edit My
Profile”.
PASSWORDS
I lost my password, can I retrieve it?
You may click under “Forgot your password?” in the login box and it will direct
you to the Password Recovery page where you will need to enter your login
E-mail. We will then email you a temporary password so you can re-establish
access to your account and create a new password.
SECURITY
How secure is my information?
We protect the security of your information against loss, misuse, and
alteration. When you place orders on our website or access your account
information, we use 1024 bits Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) which is the highest in
the industry. This encrypts the information that we receive from you.
SELLING AN ITEM
How do I list an item for sale?
Go to “Dashboard” and click on “Sell an Item”, enter the ISBN number to auto-populate your listing,
and complete the rest of the information. You may then review your listing and add your item for sale.
Another way to list an item for sale is to enter the ISBN in the search box and then click on the item
you want to sell. In this item's page click “Sell this Book on Prepbooks”.
You may then complete the rest of the information, review your listing and add your item for sale.
Where do I see the cost to list my item for sale?
There is not a cost to list an item for sale, so you will not see one.
WISH LIST
How can I add an item to the wish list?
You can search for your item, click on its page, and then click on “Add to Wishlist”
